Today I joined Pinecone Research, a paid survey company with a great reputation.
It was about a year ago that I first time heard of Pinecone research. Many survey sites’ reviewers recommend Pinecone Research as a top-paying survey company. On the get paid online forums, pinecone research panelists showed off how easy it was to get $5 by finishing a survey within 15~20min. Despite the recent rumor that their survey compensation has been lowered to $3 per survey, it is an still appreciable income source at $9/hour, which is more than what you get working at McDonalds ($6.8/hours according to www.payscale.com). And unlike ECN research, I have never seen any complaints from Pinecone Research’s members about their email accounts being spammed by junk emails due to their registration at Pinecone Research.
But why did it take me a year to join Pinecone Research? It was not for lack of trying. It was because Pinecone Research only accepts members who register through their recruiting banner ads, which are randomly floating on the internet. Have you ever tried to find a banner ad aimlessly on the internet? I did and it is hard. If you check at Yahoo Ask, you will know how many people are eager to find Pinecone Research banner ads. And some Pinecone maniacs (Amylynn, for example) are even constantly tracing the location of Pinecone Research ads and posting them on their personal websites.
How did I find the Pinecone Research banner ad? When I was surfing for paid posting websites, I came across Yuwie, an online networking site like Myspace, except that it pays. Pinecone Research banner ad is right on the top of Yuwie’s homepage. Later I noticed Pinecone also put their ads on another paid posting website, Mylot. It seems this is probably Pinecone’s recruiting season. According the experience of others, Pinecone’s ad campaigns do not last long. So if you find one, sign up right away before it’s gone.
Since I have just registered my account, I don’t know how much I can make from Pinecone. Let’s see.
